A friend and I just completed a four day - three night kayak and hammock camping trip on the upper Mississippi River in northern Minnesota. On night two we encountered an unexpected severe thunderstorm. I’ve used the Unigear rainproof tarp for several years and it has performed flawless in many small rain storms, but this was different. We later found out the wind gusts were 60+ mph! The rain was so hard you could barely see anything.
All I have to say is me, my hammock and all my gear stayed dry. I couldn’t believe no water pushed through the tarp and there was no sign of damage to the tie downs. Incredible product! I have 100% confidence in this tarp.
I notified Unigear that I received the wrong item. They asked for pictures twice, which I provided then received no response.
I bought the Waterproof Hexa Tarp Shelter at the recommendation (and discount code) through a person in my camping group. I haven't used it yet, but am very impressed with the quality.
Used now for 5 Spartan races and still holding out great. It’s been hooked on barbed wire, smashed on walls & falls and still performing great. It’s the new Timex takes a “ licking and you can keep on sipping”
