This dry bag does exactly what it claims to do, which is to keep your items dry. I use an insulin pump (not waterproof), and when I'm in the water -- or even near water -- I remove my pump and seal it in a Ziploc bag. My pump stays dry, but only if the Ziploc doesn't get damaged. The dry bag definitely increased my comfort level and gave me more peace of mind when detaching near water. I did find the shoulder strap to be a bit awkward in that I couldn't find just the right spot to clip it so that it was somewhat comfortable. Not a deal breaker, but I feel it's worth mentioning. Overall, it's a useful little bag at an affordable price.
Just got my dry bag, cool shade of blue. I found it to be sturdier than expected. But next, did it keep out water? To the bath we went. Dry paper towel inside. Turned flap down x 5 and clipped it closed as directed. Filled the tub and drowned the bag, pulled, pushed, twisted and squished it. It was a long ten minutes. Anyway the paper towels came out unscathed. I was impressed and a bit surprised to boot. Very happy with product. There was even a suprise passport sized watertight bag with neck string. All in all I was very happy.
The dry bag appears well put together. I haven’t had a chance to get out on the water with it but I looked it over and checked to see what all I could fit in it and still close it correctly. It will do exactly what I need it to. The should strap is a nice addition but I plan to use it in a hatch in my kayak.
Tested and it kept everything inside dry and cozy. Would be nice if the small bag attached easier with a clip to the large bag. I was able to attach the 2 bags but it was not secure enough to me to put the big bag around me with the shoulder strap and not worry about the small bag going down river.
