My wife and I hiked Mt Waumbeck in the NH White Mountains this past weekend. Although the trail was packed we both stepped off into the deep a few times to let people by. These worked perfectly and at the sale price they can't be beat!
So nice to hear that you have a great experience with our product!
My pair in the size large came in at 6.77 oz. and treated me well hiking and lounging about at camp in light snow. I've never used gaiters before, so I don't have much with which to compare these, but I'm definitely sold on the concept and I have no complaints about these in particular. Another bonus was using these as a 'doormat' for my hammock by connecting them via their velcro.
I have used these a couple of times in fairly boggy and very wet weather, and I would 100 times out 100 have these over having no gaiters, and theyre pretty good too. They performed well, after a couple long days in deep mud, dry feet, clean ankles and job done, despite going knee high to a bog a couple several times. Material is decent enough, I would probably keep applying waterproof spray. Construction seems good, though one of the lace hooks needed bending back to fit the lace. The top straps worked ok but slipped a bit after an hour or so - no issues periodically stopping to adjust, it's normal I think. Fit ok around boot, no massive gaps.
Durability; not sure, we'll see how long they hold up but they don't look like they'll fall apart soon. Overall these are a bit of a no-brainer at this price especially if you don't have gaiters. Maybe they won't compete with top quality but definitely work well, tried and tested in Scottish Highlands.
Good product and nice lightweight
Have used once & they kept snow out & stayed dry. Fairly easy to put on- still learning
